Who we are
This notice explains how Renav Limited (“Renav”, “we”, “us”) uses personal data collected through this website, renav.co.uk. We are the controller of that data.
- Renav Limited, registered in England & Wales, company number 08758164
- Registered office: 449 Honeypot Lane, Stanmore, England, HA7 1JJ
- Privacy questions and requests: hello@renav.co.uk
Our TelVox products have their own privacy information. The privacy policy for TelVox Chat (formerly TheMessenger) is at renav.co.uk/privacy-policy.
What we collect and why
When you send an enquiry. Our contact form, quote form, project planners and “start here” questionnaires ask for your name and email address, and optionally your phone number, your business name and website, the service or plan you're interested in, your answers about what you need (such as your timing and budget) and a message. We use this only to reply to you and, if you ask, to prepare a quote. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before a possible contract, and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries. We don't add you to a mailing list or use your details for marketing.
When you contact us directly. If you email, phone or message us on WhatsApp, we receive what you send and your contact details, and use them to reply. WhatsApp is run by Meta, which processes your messages under its own terms.
On social media. If you follow or message us on LinkedIn, Facebook or Instagram, we see what those platforms show us, such as your name and profile, and use it to reply. The platforms process this data under their own privacy policies.
Analytics, only if you allow it. With your consent, Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and Vercel Web Analytics show us how visitors use the site (pages visited, clicks, device and approximate location), and Vercel Speed Insights measures how fast pages load. Clarity can record how the page is used, such as scrolling and clicks; it masks text you type. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw any time.
Advertising, only if you allow it. With your consent to marketing cookies, Google Ads and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) measure which of our ads lead to enquiries, and may show our ads to people who have visited this site. Before you choose, Google's tags are told that consent is denied (Google Consent Mode), and no advertising tags load at all. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw any time. Google and Meta also use data from their tags under their own privacy policies.
Where your visit came from. When you send an enquiry, we include where your visit started: any campaign tags in the link you followed (such as utm_source), ad click IDs (from Google, Meta or Microsoft), the site that referred you and the first page you landed on. This tells us which marketing brings enquiries. It is kept in your browser's memory while you browse, and saved in your browser's session storage only if you have allowed analytics or marketing cookies. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in understanding which of our marketing works.
Spam protection. To keep our forms free of automated spam, we check each enquiry for signs of a bot, including Vercel BotID, which analyses technical signals from your browser. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in protecting our forms and inbox.
Running the site. Our host, Vercel, processes technical data such as your IP address and browser details to deliver the site and keep it secure. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website.
International transfers
Some of our providers, and our team in India, process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations (including the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework) or on safeguards approved by the ICO, such as the International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries and our replies: 2 years after our last contact, unless you become a client
- Client records (contracts, project correspondence and invoices): 6 years after our work together ends, for legal and tax purposes
- Analytics data: according to each provider's retention settings; the cookies themselves expire as listed below
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- correct it, or delete it
- restrict how we use it, or object to our use of it
- give it to you, or another organisation, in a portable format
Where we rely on your consent, such as for analytics or advertising, you can withdraw it at any time from Cookie settings. To make a request, email hello@renav.co.uk; we'll reply within one month.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or 0303 123 1113. We'd appreciate the chance to sort out any concern first.
We'll update this notice when how we use personal data changes, and change the date at the top when we do.
